This is another comprehensive “how-to” nuts and bolts kind of guide to solar space heating and hot water heating. Like Tom Lane’s book, this one is also written by a solar installer and distributor with over thirty years of experience. As compared to Solar Hot Water Heating: Lessons Learned, 1977 to Today, this book is more oriented toward the home owner and less toward the building professional. Very helpful for understanding and applying the special plumbing and electrical components common to solar hot water systems, including radiant floor heating systems.
